Enjoy and learn about the rich gastronomy of the Ebro Delta Natural Park

Accompanied by an interpreter guide we will discover the gastronomic delights of the bay (mussels and oysters) and its production. We will discover as well the world of the rice (old utensils, farming and a visit to an old rice mill).

Detailed programme:

Day 1: Arrival at your accommodation. Dinner in place or free (depending on accommodation)

Day 2: Discover the culinary delights of the bay.

After an energetic breakfast, we will start the day with a boat trip among the trays of oysters and mussels of the bay in order to understand its functioning. Then, we will head to one of the nurseries, where the guide will explain the cultivation, breeding and collecting of these molluscs. Finally, in these trays, we will enjoy a great tasting of these products, with a good white wine from the area. We will end the morning with a gourmet menu in a restaurant of the Delta.

Day 3: Discover the world of the rice.

After breakfast, we will start the day visiting the Natural Park Ecomuseum, where we will be able to learn about the different tools for rice cultivation. Then, we will stop at a rice field to continue the explanation of this crop. We will finish the day visiting the only wooden mill in Catalonia, the Moli of Rafelet, to know its operation and the process of artisanal and traditional preparation.
