Discover the different ecosystems of the Ebro Delta through its traditions and customs
Accompanied by an interpreter guide in nature and traditions, you will discover the different ecosystems of the Ebro Delta through its traditions and customs. You will learn some traditional activities (boating, fishing, hunting, rice cultivation, harvesting salt) and you will practice a few of them: traditional rice cultivation, navigation by “perxar” boats, “birles” contest and “tirar lo rall ” demostrations.
Location
Different areas of the Ebro Delta: Ecomuseum, Garxal, Tancada, etc. Other private spaces like Riet Vell and MónNatura Delta de l’Ebre.
The starting point is the Eco-museum.

Price: From 180€ depending on the type of accommodation.
Group size: Minimum group size of 2 people and maximum group size of 12 people.
Period: All year except high season: Easter, long weekends, August and September.
Type of accommodation: Different types and categories of accommodation are offered: 2nd category camping, two cottages, four 3 stars hotels.
Detailed programme:
Day 1: Arrival at your accommodation. Dinner in place or free (depending on accommodation)
Day 2: Discover the left hemidelta.
After an energetic breakfast and with the guidance of the company Deltapolet we will visit the Ecomuseum of the Ebro Delta Natural Park to introduce us to the unique world of the Delta and get to know its valuable ecosystems and the traditional activities that are carried out in them.
Then, following the guides’ vehicles and driving efficiently, we will make a tour visiting the most charismatic places of the left hemidelta, enjoying the scenery and performing traditional activities. We will end the morning with a meal at a local restaurant.
Afternoon free.
Day 3: Discover the right hemidelta.
After breakfast and following the guides, we will cross the Ebro River by the bridge “Lo Passador” and we will head towards the Tancada Lagoon and the Trabucador, where we will have the opportunity to visit the farm of Riet Vell dedicated to farming traditional and organic rice and experiencing the feeling of entering a rice field.
We will also move to Mónantura Delta de l’Ebre where we will visit a salina, recreated to scale, to explain what it is and what its purpose is. We will continue combining visits with performing of traditional activities.
