The Itxaspe Campsite is situated in exceptional surroundings on the top of a cliff like a balcony open to the sea with stunning views.
It is surrounded by a variety of leafy trees which provide a generous shade and direct contact with nature.
The campsite has high quality services and infrastructure to satisfy the most demanding clients. We have an infinity saltwater swimming pool which may possibly be the pool with the best views on the Basque coast, solarium, picnic area with barbeques, food shop, table-tennis, children’s play area, restaurant, glamping accommodation… The toilets and showers have free hot water, chemical loos and bathtub for babies. We boast a personalised, client- centred attention so that your stay will be unforgettable.
We have over 100 pitches for tents, caravans or mobile homes, 16 fully equipped bungalows and 8 apartments so that you can choose your level of comfort.
There are plenty of activities to do from the campsite: go on an outing along the Deba-Zumaia coast, walk down to the coves and beaches of Sakoneta, admire the spectacular nature of the Flysch (an area of coast declares Geopark for its high geological, ecological and marine value), go surfing in the famous wave of Itxaspe (at a distance of 1 km) or in the nearby beaches of Deba, Zumaia or Zarautz, take a mountain bike route, visit the prehistoric caverns of Ekain in Zastoa, or simply enjoy a day of peace and quiet.

Commitment to biodiversity conservation and local development
In order to conserve and restore biodiversity in our region we have installed 20 nest-boxes in the campsite’s trees, and walnut trees were also planted so that small local fauna (especially red squirrel) could ‘make themselves at home’ in our campsite.
To minimize our environmental impact we have installed LED lighting, flow restrictors for taps, notices to create awareness about water-saving and ask clients to selectively recycle waste, and exterior darkness-sensor lighting which switches on when necessary. We have an electric vehicle on the campsite which is silent and has zero emissions.
In our bar and restaurant we try to use as many local/KM0 products as possible.
In order to support local sustainable development we collaborate with a surfing school in Deba and with other accommodation in the area to offer their services when ours is closed or fully booked, and we buy what is available from local producers such as eggs, tomatoes, vegetables, plants for the garden etc.
