Casa Rural Arrizurieta

Casa Rural Arrizurieta, built in 1858 and completely renovated in 2008, is immersed in nature but well connected at the same time. This “Landetxea”, or farmhouse, began as a family initiative to contribute to the development of tourism in our area, providing a strategically located resting place for travellers visiting points of interest in Bermeo and the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. Our facilities combine the wooden structure and stone walls typical of local farmhouses with modern, eco-friendly comforts.

Our rooms are named after local landmarks: Almike, Gaztelugatxe, Izaro, Akatz, Matxitxako, and Mañu. Each room is spacious (from 13 to 18 square metres), with a private bathroom and a distinct style. Two of the rooms have terraces, and one has a balcony. These exterior spaces allow guests to enjoy the varied landscapes, and some even offer a view of the Cantabrian Sea on the horizon. Most rooms are south- or west-facing and feature large windows and glass exterior doors to maximize natural light.

Guests will receive breakfast, and will have access to the shared kitchen, laundry service, Wi-Fi, free parking, the house garden, and the gazebo.

Outside, there are different open spaces to explore. You’ll find a variety of trees and hedges, including fruit trees like fig trees, plum trees, and pear trees. You might glimpse our dwarf goats roaming as they help us maintain the landscape. You can enjoy the fresh air and the views from the tables and the gazebo.

The farmhouse is located in the well-known town of Bermeo, in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.
Nearby places of interest: Bermeo, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, Matxitzako, Mundaka, mouth of the Urdaibai estuary, Gernika, San Pedro de Atxarre, the Santimamiñe Caves, and the Bizkaia Flysch formations.
