L’Arcada de Fares is a small set of charming apartments in a rural area located in Besalú (Girona) opened in June 2009. It comprises a total of eighteen eco-apartments integrated into a 15th-century masia (Catalan country house) in the village of Fares, in la Garrotxa district, just in the centre of Girona region.
Family-run, L’Arcada de Fares offers an apartment for every kind of holidaymaker, sleeping from 2 to 14 guests, whether you are travelling alone, with your partner, with the family of with colleges.
We also offer facilities thought for children: a children’s pool and a sizeable playground, cribs, free of charge (through reservation and subject to availability), children’s meals, etc. And we welcome your pets for the duration of your stay.

L’Arcada de Fares apartments are situated in the region of the Garrotxa, an area with a large collection of natural treasures, among them the Natural Park of Volcanic Zone of the Garrotxa, a vast landscape of 12,000 acres with over forty volcanoes hidden between vegetation, and the Alta Garrotxa, an area of high mountains very quiet Area of Natural Interest declared part of the Natura 2000. In the Natural Park there are 28 walking routes that pass through places of great scenic attraction. Natural Park itineraries connect to the network of trails Itinerànnia, which in turn, can easily walk to any point of the Garrotxa, Ripollès or Alt Empordà. La Garrotxa is also an excellent place to practice cycling and has the Greenway Olot-Girona.
