LYNXAIA – Ecoturismo

LYNXAIA – Ecoturismo

At LYNXAIA – Ecoturismo we work with the aim of highlighting the area’s natural features, such as its flora, fauna, geology and landscape, as well as its cultural elements (historical sites, ethnology and archaeology of Sierra Morena, habitat of the Iberian Lynx).

The natural and cultural elements of the protected areas of the Sierra de Aracena Natural Park, and particularly of the Sierra Morena, need to be highlighted in order to make visitors and locals aware of their fragility, beauty and value.

Company’s commitment to conservation of biodiversity and local development

The LYNXAIA-Ecoturismo philosophy is to protect and preserve the environment:

  • We collaborate in the monitoring and identification of endangered species of flora and fauna by carrying out surveys
  • We pick up any litter we come across during the activities
  • We visit vulnerable areas in small groups
  • We participate in cleaning up rivers, streams and water sources
  • We plant native trees and shrubs
  • We install and adapt nesting boxes
  • We monitor and protect endangered species of flora and fauna
  • We carry out actions that encourage the development of the local population, promoting and enhancing the value of local products in the areas where we carry out our activities
  • We are partners and collaborate with the Lutra Association, a non-profit association that carries out different wildlife research, monitoring and recovery actions, as well as awareness-raising activities and environmental education about the natural and cultural values of the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Natural Park, among other things
