Posada San Marcos is in Alájar, a picturesque mountain village in the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Natural Park. Our traditional whitewashed hotel offers a unique combination of comfort and sustainability in this idyllic region of South Spain.

It is a relaxing haven surrounded by stunning views of cork oak forests. Here you can find the best of both worlds, as you can stroll through the ancient cobbled streets of Alájar and then relax in our accommodation, which is a blend of age-old tradition and modern comfort.

We are the first accommodation in Andalusia and the only one in Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche to obtain the Ecolabel certification.
We are the first hotel in Andalusia to install a low-enthalpy geothermal energy system for heating and cooling the building through an underfloor heating/cooling system and a domestic hot water system, consuming 75% less energy than traditional methods.
