Village House Aldea La Pescal, a house with traditional architecture in a rural hamlet in Fuentes del Narcea Natural Park
Casa de aldea La Pescal is a comfortable rural guesthouse built in traditional style in La Pescal, a rural hamlet in Fuentes del Narcea Natural Park. Built in 1900 as a bar and village store it served the surrounding villages for many years. In the 90’s it became an inn and was recently restored and transformed into a rural guesthouse. During the refurbishment we wished to maintain the essence of its history, so part of the house’s original furnishings were incorporated into the décor.
The house is ideal as a place to rest and to enjoy nature and the attractions of the Fuentes del Narcea Natural Park. Casa de aldea La Pescal has a common area for guests, and 4 fully equipped double rooms:

Commitment to biodiversity conservation and local development
La Pescal rural guesthouse has a long history bound to local development, as its origins were a village store and bar and later an inn, so that during various generations it has been visited by the inhabitants of the area and the travellers and visitors who arrived at Cangas del Narcea. We have endeavoured to keep its essence, maintaining the traditional architecture, masonry and wood, with slate roof. It is a restored centenary house which conserves parts of its original construction and decorative elements which reflect the lives of our ancestors. Furthermore, in our accommodation we have taken various measures to minimize environmental impact, for example:
- Low energy light bulbs
- We have our own allotment which is free of sulphates and chemical fertilizers, and we make many other small gestures
- We contribute to our natural heritage with local schemes, like the LIBERA project, involving litter collection in the Natural Park.
